1. Low propeller-speed combined with a large 900 mm propeller provides a higher flow rate (up to 30%) for the same absorbed power. This improves motor cooling , reduces settlement in the tanks and ensures gentler reatment of the mud due to lower shear-rate. The latter is becoming increasingly more important to oil companies.
2. Step-down gear for low propeller speed allows for a 4-pole motor, which is less sensitive for thermic load than a 12-pole motor since a 12-pole motor requires smaller clearance between rotor & stator than a 4-pole motor.
3. Reduced propeller tip speed combined with the superiority of Physinit over St.St. means a fraction of wear on th Allmix Phantom propeller.
