IFAT 2026 in Munich brought together a wide range of technologies for water and wastewater management. Across the exhibition, the focus was on how to handle increasingly complex operating conditions, driven by changing media characteristics, higher process demands and the need to ensure stable operation over longer periods.
These requirements define how pump technologies are selected and applied in practice. Solids content, abrasiveness and viscosity directly influence performance, wear behaviour and maintenance intervals. As a result, application-specific design and reliable operation remain central aspects in wastewater treatment. At Hall B1, Booth 320, Allweiler addressed these topics with a focus on typical application scenarios. Discussions at the booth were based on real operating conditions rather than generalized product features.
A central milestone during the exhibition was the launch of the new AE‑RD/RE hopper pump. The product is designed for highly viscous, solids-laden and non-flowable media. Further technical details and application areas are covered in the dedicated product article included in this newsletter. More about new AE-RD/RE Hopper Pump
We also highlighted the core feature off our progressing cavity pumps, the ALLDUR® stators. Under demanding conditions, they can achieve up to 500% longer service life compared to conventional designs. This reduces wear, extends maintenance intervals and improves operational stability. Additional information and technical details are available on our website. More about ALLDUR Stators
Many discussions focused on specific applications and operating conditions. The team established new contacts and identified follow-up topics for ongoing projects. Several channel partners supported the discussions on site and contributed their application experience. The exhibition showed that understanding media characteristics and process requirements remains the basis for selecting and designing pump solutions. The strong engagement at the booth was supported by the contribution of the entire team on site.
