Listening to valuable customer insights
The insights we received from our latest customer survey confirm without a doubt that we need to improve our OTD and shorten our lead times, providing a perspective that helps us shaping our strategic direction.
Key Challenge: Reduce late delivery backlog
Our delivery backlog consistently at a very high level. It is our main challenge to significantly reduce this backlog.
Root causes: Machining & human capacity
One of the root causes for delays were capacity constraints in processing and labor. Bottlenecks at external suppliers, as well as, bankruptcies of legacy IMO suppliers have compounded the problem. Process gaps from order entry to shipment, along with the challenge of refining master data quality, are also areas that require focused attention.
Improvement plan at ALLWEILER Radolfzell
A comprehensive improvement plan has been set up at our Radolfzell site to improve our On-Time Deliveries.
- 1. We are expanding our machining capacity including using more robots to make process steps leaner and faster.
- We have added more workforce on the shopfloor and are currently training 11 new staff in capacity-constrained production steps.
